The Currumbin community have already scored a significant victory against the southern developer of the old Elephant Rock Cafe ( enlarged) site at 776 Pacific Parade with getting Council on board to challenge its DA – OTH /2025/12 as not ‘properly made’. Whilst we are still assessing the Notice and taking advice, it looks like it effetely gives the Southern developer,  Fuglsang Developments until 14 May to show cause why it ought not be rejected as code and go impact assessable or go back to the drawing board if it wants to stay code. 

We shall keep you informed. For now please read the well reasoned report from Council dated 10 April 2025 headed- Action Notice- Not Properly Made Application addressing their (and the community’s concerns) over the proposed development.
